On September 6-7 the Balkan Regional Rule of Law Network in partnership with “Hogan Lovells” – an international law firm based in London and Washington D.C, and Partnership for Transparency Fund Metzger Initiative (PTF Metzger) with the support of OSCE in Serbia delivered a two day training for lawyers coming from Serbia in Zlatibor, Serbia on gender-based violence (GBV) issues covering domestic and international legislation as well as strategies on how to marshal evidence and effectively litigate domestic violence cases in national courts and the European Court of Human Rights and the CEDAW Committee.
The participants were able to learn, practice and share their experience in these matters. At the end of the training they were awarded certificates of completion and they committed to 10 hours pro-bono work on GBV cases.
